Why do we sweat?
During hot weather or during exercise, our body sweats. This is a biological mechanism that aims to regulate your body temperature. Indeed, thanks to the evaporation of sweat via the pores of the skin, your body will refresh.
This is why this phenomenon mostly occurs when you are hot, whether due to summer weather or bodily exertion. The temperature of your body will then rise and the latter will therefore try to bring it down to around 37°C, the optimum temperature for the proper functioning of the human body.
This mechanism also helps eliminate toxins, which is why you get a fever when you are sick or experience food indigestion. Spicy food, sun, sport, stress… Here are all the contexts in which you will sweat.
If the sweat is odorless, it will trigger a proliferation of bacteria on contact with the skin, which will cause bad odors. Tip #1: Alum stone
Used for many years as a natural deodorant, Alum stone is a mineral consisting mainly of potassium and aluminum sulfate. Generally available as an elongated transparent stone, just moisten it before applying it to your armpits or any other area concerned with sweating concerns.
100% natural and economical, Alum stone regulates perspiration and is easy to transport. Its antibacterial power also forms a barrier against body odor. However, it is essentially composed of aluminum salts. It is an ingredient that you generally try to avoid in commercial deodorants if you are a fan of green cosmetics!
Tip #2: Pay attention to the materials of your clothes
You may have already noticed that there are chances that you sweat more in some clothes than in others. Indeed, synthetic fibers are less breathable than natural fibers and will therefore make it more difficult for your skin to breathe naturally.
This is why we sweat more in a polyester blouse than when we wear a linen or cotton shirt. In addition, the natural fibers will absorb some of your perspiration, before it releases bad odors on the surface of your skin.
So prefer cotton or linen clothes, preferably loose, if you want to naturally fight against perspiration.

Indeed, it brings a freshness effect that will regulate perspiration, especially in the armpits! Apply a nut of pure aloe vera gel under your armpits as soon as you feel a little warm. That’s it!
Tip #4: Apple Cider Vinegar
You certainly have a bottle of it in your kitchen… Apple cider vinegar has many virtues both in terms of health and beauty! Indeed, it is an excellent natural deodorant. It will therefore help you fight against bad odors related to the process of perspiration.
Every evening after showering, soak two cotton pads with a little cider vinegar and place them directly under your armpits. Leave on as a poultice for about twenty minutes before rinsing. Apple cider vinegar is also very effective if you suffer from excessive sweating on your feet! Make a cider vinegar foot bath 2 to 3 times a week by diluting 75 ml of vinegar in 2 liters of hot water in a basin. Immerse your feet in it for about 15 minutes then rinse.
Tip #5: Cucumber
A fresh ingredient par excellence, both on the plate and in the smell, cucumber is a natural ally of choice to fight against perspiration in a sustainable way. Rich in antiperspirant active ingredients, it provides the freshness your body needs to cool down.
It thus regulates perspiration and the odors that go with it. Every evening, place a few slices of cucumber directly on your armpits and leave it on for 5 minutes. The result is quite stunning and you will sweat less and less over the months!
Tip #6: Talc
Highly absorbent, talc has been used for a very long time as a natural solution against perspiration. This mineral helps regulate perspiration, especially in the feet and armpits. Be careful though, it can stain your dark clothes.
It does not work for people with excessive sweating because it will wear off too quickly. But if you sweat lightly, you can apply it with a puff or a dry cotton ball directly to your armpits every morning. It can also be replaced with corn starch or white clay.
Tip #7: Baking soda
Here is the superpower of the famous baking soda! Absorbent, this all-purpose powder is also antibacterial. This makes it an ally of choice to fight against bad odors.
Combine a little baking soda with a little water in the palm of your hand. Then apply the mixture to the armpits using a damp washcloth.
